Another Sunday afternoon means another instalment of the week in Instagram's. I always forget how quickly a week actually goes!
One & Two.
This week it has been all about home improvements for us. One is our beautiful new bed. When we first moved back to Bristol we were broke, we had savings but they had all been spent on deposits and moving and that sort of thing. For the first 3 months we lived here we slept of the floor. After that we managed to get another money together for a mattress and someone was throwing away a bed frame in our house (it's separate flats but in a house) . The only problem was it didn't have any screws, enough slats, and was generally very broken. We managed to put it together with seemingly, hope and desperation. Although it sort of stayed together the slats fell out almost totally every night. We have finally managed to buy a brand new bed. We ordered it from Mattress Man after finding the one we liked from Ikea was going to cost us £35 to get it delivered. £35 wouldn't be so awful if you couldn't actually SEE Ikea if you walk 5 minutes down the road (no joke, it is about a 15 minute walk total). It came quickly, it was easy to put together and I am a little bit in love with it. Two is a picture of the rainbow ribbon door covering we have put up after our en suite (i.e the only bathroom in the flat) door fell off a while back. It's not perfect, but it gives you just a bit more privacy (we tell guests to close the bedroom door when they are over).
I won a give away on gems blog, Flutter & Sparkle, which came this week. Its a really useful prize and they smell amazing!
I tried yellow nails this week but I didn't really like it, looked a little odd. They are a total mess as the formula was really difficult to get to non streaky.
Five & Six.
As you may have seen in my recent hauls, I am trying to kill my bank account with Soap and Glory products. I decided that I absolutely had to have The Breakfast Scrub after smelling it in Boots. Had to. The problem was that it is around £9.50 which seemed a little steep, even though it is a huge tub. I found a full sized, brand new tub on eBay and managed to win it for £4.90 including shipping. It arrived this week and it literally smells of maple syrup. I cannot wait to get my mitts in this!
I love Pizza Express dough balls, doesn't matter if I'm in the restaurant or shopping in Tesco's, I want them. But, they are around £2.50 to £3.00 even if you buy them in Tesco's. I saw these in Morrisons when I popped in for a mid week shop for 66p and thought I would give them a go. Honestly they were a lot of hassle, takes around an hour to get them ready for cooking, and they garlic mix for the butter was disappointing. Well, at least the were 66p.
Wish it could be Christmas everyday? Well for one dull Thursday this week, it sort of was! This year I entered the second hand secret santa on Ellie's blog, Pretty Much Penniless. I sent mine off and waited for mine. I waited until January and still nothing, so I got in contact with Ellie to ask if they lady who sent mine had the tracking number for my parcel (assuming it was the Post Office who love to loose my packages). Ellie got in contact, and the girl had said she never got an email (even though Ellie had her sent email). We waited for a while to see if she was going to send one, but she decided not to get in contact. I thought that was the end of that. But this week a lovely parcel from Ellie herself arrived! I love all the bits I got, including two nail varnishes!
After taking off the horrid yellow I decided to go for something a bit more sparkly. I used OPI's Pirates Of The Caribbean Gently As She Rose & Muppet's Rainbow Connection. I love this combo and one I will be doing again.
I won another giveaway! I am the unluckiest person in the whole world, but recently I have been quite lucky with giveaways!
Lovely pictures of Lady. I downloaded a free app for my phone called Frametastic which you put multiple pictures in frames and edit them easily. I would highly recommend it!
So that's been my week lovely ladies, hope you've had a good one!
