January Empties.

Hello lovelies.

It's the end of the month, so it's that time again, empties time.

Not quite as many finished products in the bag as other months, but still a fair amount I'd say.

Shampoo & Conditioner.

One. Kerastase Homm K Capital Force Sachet.
Technically a mens shampoo, but I was sent it with a Feel Unique order so I gave it a whirl. Nice enough, not something I'd rush out and spend £16 on for a full sized though.

Two. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner Mini.
I'd hear a lot of great things about Organix so I thought I'd give a mini one a go, and I have to say I loved it. It's got no nasties in & it left my hair feel really soft & manageable, even though it's quite pricey I may have to splash out on the full sized soon.

Three. Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo Mini.
I picked this up in the Cheap Smells sale for £2 and it looks like a tiny bottle but it did last quite a few uses as it's a really thick shampoo. It smells lovely & it did leave my hair feel really soft, however even in TK Maxx the smallest full sized comes in at around £17, so I don't think I'll be splashing out on it, however if I saw it at a great price I'd snap it up.

Four & Five. Aussie Mega Shampoo & Conditioner.
I bought these in Sainsburys, as they were in the clearance for £1.50 each, and even though they were nice enough, I've kind of gone off Aussie a little bit, as I think it's quite overpriced! It's nice, but I've discovered that the VO5 shampoo & conditioner really works for me, and as that's always in my local Poundland I think I'll stick to that!

Shower Gel.

Six. The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel Mini.
A favourite of mine, really lovely smelling & it's a constant repurchase for me.

Seven. Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel.
Another favourite! I always know Christmas is truly over when I've finished my last bottle of Snow Fairy, of course I'll repurchase when its back in November.

Eight. Lush Ponche Shower Gel.
Another Christmas Limited Edition & I loved this in the bottle, I thought it smelt quite fruity. However, on the skin it was a different question. It was really musky & spicy and to be honest quite manly, which I guess makes sense as it's pretty much ying & yang between Snow Fairy & Ponche. If it was to come back next year I'd give it a miss.

Nine. Nivea Harmony Time.
A cheapy Poundland purchase, but I do really like the Nivea shower gels, they have a lovely range of scents and they are lovely and thick. I'd repurchase as long as it was on offer.

Soap.

Ten. Lush Mr Punch Soap.
This was the only Lush item I managed to get in the sale, as by the time I got there the shop had been turned upside down by sale shoppers. I really love this soap, it's really fresh & fruity and I hope it makes another appearance next year!

Eleven. Lush Northern Lights Sample.
Donated to me by lovely Ali, I actually fell in love with this soap, and its really fresh & kind of smells like lemons & limes. I've managed to get my hands on 100g slab and I'm so glad I don't need to wait until next year to get some more.

Twelve. Bomb Cosmetics Sweet Surrender.
Really loved this soap, really sweet smelling with a hint of spice. I love Bomb Cosmetics soaps, and I still have one left but when that's gone I will probably be ordering more!

 Hand Cream.

Thirteen. Duckie Hand Cream.
Nice enough cream, but it's the packaging is really what makes this product! It's not headed for the recycling, it's getting cleaned out & I'm gunna store something in it!

 Face Wash.

Fourteen. Olay Refreshing Face Wash.
To be honest, I bought this just because it was on a better than half price offer. It's nice enough, but nothing special. I am still searching for a really good face wash, and so far all of them have fallen short of the mark!

Perfume.

Fifteen. Lee Stafford Pink Passion.
This is something I've had around for ages, and had to make a real effort to finish. It's beyond sickly sweet, something I'd expect to smell coming out of a child Disney princess perfume. I am so glad to see the back of this one!

So that's it ladies, how about you? Finished anything this month your glad to be rid of?

January Favourites

Hello lovelies.

January, for me, is the worst month of the year. The Christmas hangover mix of empty purses & having far to many fun things to do leaves me feeling rather blue! Not to mention the crazy cold weather we've had this month. I'm never so glad to see the back of the month as I am to see January turn in to February.

But, with all this said, I have found some new favourite products this month, but I've narrowed it down to my top 3.

Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint Shower Gel.
Oh how I wish Bath & Body Works was readily available in the U.K! This shower gel smells exactly like candy canes, it's really thick & foams up nicely, as well as it not being tested on animals. I now really want more of them, but they come in at around £10 a bottle! However if you did fancy buying one you can get it from the Bath & Body Shop here

China Glaze It's A Trap-Eze.
Gorgeous milky white multi coloured glitter. I love China Glaze & although they do some dodgy colours from time to time, sometimes they get it so spot on! If you want to see some swatches my original review is here.

Orla Kiely Perfume.
I have to say, this is probably my favourite perfume of all time. It's strong without being overpowering, fruity yet musky, it's just lovely. It also lasts a very very long time, I can still smell it as strongly as when I first sprayed it hours and hours later. I can see this not being the only bottle I'll ever own!

So those are my favourites this months ladies, how about you? What's been floating your boat this month?

50 Facts About Me Tag

Hello lovelies.

I've seen a few of these posts recently, and I've really enjoyed reading them, so I thought I'd do my own. I can honestly say I struggled to reach 50, I need to get out more!

1) I've lived all over the place, including Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool, London, but no where compares to Bristol, it's the perfect city for me.

2) I'm a bit of a fashion-phobe, and I don't tend to "get" trends, for example studs. Don't get them.

3) I'm a life long vegetarian, and the only meat I've ever sampled is chicken.

4) Although I'm a veggie I seldom get along with fake meat, I just can't stand the texture.

5) I've been dyeing my hair for so long I'm not quite sure what it's natural colour is, I think it's brown!

6) I'm quite cynical, and have a hard time believing in things like Bigfoot or anything of that genre.

7) I'm a little bit obsessed with animals, and it really surprises me that some people don't, it's so important to me it would be a deal breaker in a relationship.

8) I'm not a particularly confident person & can be quite shy.

9) I need glasses to see, an being totally honest the fake glasses trend has be baffled.

10) I hate clubs, hate them. I don't like the music, the drunk people, the price of a single vodka, etc, etc.

11) This picture made me laugh for 15 minutes solid, to the point of tears. I printed it out & stuck it on my fridge, and every time I see it I have a giggle. No, I don't know why.

12) Speaking of which, I have actually read all of Lord Of The Rings, several times. I also adore the films.

13) Rather embarrassingly, until last year, I thought Narwhals were mythical creatures. I think I'd lumped them in with unicorns!

14) I have two siblings, a 16 year old sister & a baby brother who is just 2 months old.

15) Tuna was actually named years a go, after my boyfriend making a sandwich & me making a comment that Tuna sounded like a name for a cat, not a fish.

16) I've been with my boyfriend for 7 years.

17) I've smashed my chin open, twice, once from being spun around on an office chair & falling on to a marble floor, the second time was from playing red rover & falling on a thick skirting board.

18) I've been to New York with my bestie, Ali, and it was the best holiday I've ever been on. If you ever get the chance to go, grab it with both hands.

19) I wish I had naturally curly hair, as I love how it looks but I am very lazy with my hair.

20) I actually own very little make up, as I'm very picky, however everything I own gets used & anything I fall out of love with is either sold or given away.

21) 99% of my clothes have either animals or flowers on. Or both.

22) I don't like wine, I like beer.

23) When I was little I swallowed a marble, on purpose. No I didn't it was a sweet, I knew exactly what it was.

24) I cannot wake up without coffee.

25) I was a right little goth in my teenage years, and the photos still make me cringe! I favoured black & white photos only during that time!

26) I had my tongue pierced, and although the piercing itself was fine I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has teeth.

27) My pet rabbits were eaten by a fox, on Easter Sunday, I was devastated.

28) Christmas is my favourite time of year.

29) I've only started trying to wear lipstick in the last year, and to be honest I often feel like a little girl who's gotten in to Mummys make up bag.

30) I don't own a pair of jeans, I'm strictly a skirts or dresses girl.

31) I have expensive taste! Give me a selection of products and I'll all home in on the most expensive.

32) I'm pretty sure I was born a cat person, but that isn't to say I don't like dogs, I think you can like both!

33) I am strictly anti homophobic & anti racist, and personally think jokes based around either are in incredibly bad taste.

34) Although cats are my first love, ducks are a close second!

35) I can't drive, and although I'd like to learn I just don't want to pay for the lessons!

36) I like to take pictures of businesses with my name.. Nope don't know why either.

37) Bondi Vet is my favourite TV show, and the main vet is probably the reason why (Google Dr Chris Brown)

38) Unlike most, I wouldn't go back to secondary school for anything. It wasn't a bad time for me, but no I'm glad it's over.

39) It might come across as shallow, but I love to shop.

40) I hate snakes. Hate. Them.

41) I wish I had a bath at home, I miss it every day!

42) Personally, I think I was a pretty funny looking kid.

43) I am a person who needs sleep, I can't get by on a few hours!

44) I would love to be in the sea with Manta Rays, even though I would be terrified.

45) I've tried (and failed) to learn hieroglyphics.

46) Every time I order something on the internet I convince myself it's going to get lost in post! So far I've been wrong!

47) I'm generally a home body.

48) I prefer winter to summer, spring or autumn.

49) Although I love digital photography, I like having prints of my favourite photos.

50) I was briefly in Skins because it was filmed in my college, I walked up some stairs!

So that's it lovely ladies! If you've done one of these leave me the link below, I love reading these!

Sunday Shopping

Hello lovelies.

Another rainy, boring Sunday today, I don't know about you but Sunday is always a really slow day, it seems to go on forever! But on to the Sunday shopping!

Henry Holland Sheep Jumper. This has been on my wishlist since the first time I spotted it, but at nearly £40 it was a firm wishlist item! I don't know about your Debenhams but the Bristol one tends to have fab sales, so when I was browsing the Henry Holland sale rail & spotted the last sheep jumper I grabbed it with both hands! At half price it was much more affordable and I just love it! Its really soft & snuggly, I can't wait to wear it!

So ladies, January is coming to an end & so are the sales, have you managed to pick up any bargains? If so which was your favourite find?

MUA Lipstick In Shade 13

Hello lovely ladies.

Today I found myself in my local Superdrug, just to "browse" before going to do the big food shop. I'd been playing with the idea of getting myself a red lipstick. This might not sound like much to some, but as someone that usually sticks to very light neutrals it's way outside of my comfort zone. However I'm not someone that likes to spend money unless I know I'm going to use it, so with that in mind I headed to the MUA stand, to see if they had a nice red, just to test the colour before spending money. I picked up shade 13, so I thought I'd do a little review.

In terms of packaging I have to say, MUA is not my favourite. There's is nothing particularly wrong with it, but it does look & feel a little cheap, which seeing as they cost all of a £1 each is to be expected, however I can't pretend to love it!

I would say Shade 13 (Kind of wish all the lipstick had names, just a small thing but a name is much nicer than a number!) is a true blood red, which is pushing my limits of what I would normally feel comfortable in but I decided to go hard or go home!

This part of the lipstick threw me a little! I was fiddling around with it when the bottom popped off, and as I picked it up I noticed my fingers were red! I thought it was just plastic to show the colour, but no it's a little container of lipstick! I'm not sure if its for doing touch ups with a mirror, a back up for when the lipstick runs out, or if it's simply easier for them to use the actual lipstick rather than a coloured plastic!

I decided to throw a bit on, so you could see the colour.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it's actually a really nice lipstick to wear! It has bled a little but that was probably due to my quick application, but its a really nice consistency, and the colour is pretty much exactly the same in the bullet as on the lips. It didn't dry my lips out at all or irritated them. I would say however it does bleed a fair bit, so it does need a touch of lip liner!

Overall I am quite impressed! I've had a few bits from MUA in the past and to be honest, I've usually found the products really average, so I was pleasantly surprised by this! Will I ever wear it out? Now that's another story!

MUA lipsticks cost £1 each, and are available from Superdrugs or online here, HOWEVER I've heard a lot of bloggers have had horrific times when ordering from MUA, so I would probably say head to your local Superdrug if you can!

So ladies, what do you rate or slate from MUA? Have any of you had a bad time ordering from MUA?

Zoya Nail Varnish In Charla

Hello lovelies.

Have you ever had something on your wishlist for so long your not sure why you didn't buy it sooner? For me, the Zoya nail varnish in Charla is something I wish I'd bought sooner! It's been on my wish list for about a year, and I've stood in front of the Zoya stand in House of Fraser so many times it was getting silly! So here's my review!

I have to say the Zoya bottle is one of my favourites, it's square but rounded, and the reason for that is they sit neatly in a line! It's a gorgeous metallic greeny blue with gold micro glitter. It's eye catching in the bottle, so on to the swatches!

One coat. The fab thing about Zoya nail varnishes is that with one coat it's completely opaque, but it's also buildable, so you can just do one coat if your in a rush or more if you want a deeper colour pay off. I was having a tough time picking up the gold micro glitter, which is a lot more obvious in real life!

Two coats. The colour is much deeper with two coats, and the glitter build up is a little more obvious.

Zoya are a fab company & all the nail varnishes are free from toxins such as camphor, DBP (phthalates), toluene, and formaldehyde. I only have two other Zoya nail varnishes but they are also fantastic, Zoya are slowly becoming a firm favourite.

Zoya nail varnishes are around £9.95 each if you have a stockist near you, but if not you can buy Charla here for £10.50 delivered.

So ladies,  have you tried any Zoya nail varnishes? If so, whats your favourite?

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel

Hello lovelies.

I have to say, I didn't find much in The Body Shop sale that caught my eye this year. In years previous I've loaded up a full basket, but this year there wasn't really anything I fancied, bar one product, a product I was yet to try, the Vineyard Peach shower gel.

I have to say, I do love The Body Shop packaging, it's simple but to the point, usually having the fruit or plant on the front. As for the smell, it is just amazing, and as with the all The Body Shop shower gels / body butters / scrubs the scent is just what it's called, it really does just smell of a freshly picked peach! The shower gels are thick & foam really nicely, and honestly last for ages and ages!

I picked this up in store in the sale for £2, and it's currently out of stock on the website here but there was plenty in the Bristol branch. But if you fancy something else from the Vineyard Peach range there a code: ENDS for 40% off of all of the website, including the sale so you could get the scrub or the body butter for just £3.84 each!

So ladies, what's your favourite scent from The Body Shop? Are you a Mango girl or a Coconut?

Pretty Framed Picture For Under £2!

Hello lovely ladies.

Today I braved the cold to go out for essentials I was running low on, bread, milk, you know, boring boring. I decided to try and shave a few pennies off & instead of heading to my local Morrisions, I headed to the B&M Bargains round the corner. Whilst browsing the 10p flan & other delights that B&M sells, I came across something a little more pretty, something I'd expect to find in a pretty, girly boutique, not my local cheap shop!

I found this pretty 3D cupcake cut out picture, all nicely framed in a deep white frame. Not only is it super cute but it was reduced to a fantastic £1.99! I kept looking at it & shaking it thinking it must be broken! However even at full price (£5.99) I still think it's pretty lovely!

Hung up, if possible, I think it looks even nicer! But if cupcakes aren't your things, they also had tea cups, hearts & butterflies in the same style, also reduced! I'm now kicking myself for not getting the teacup one as well!

B&M Bargins website is pretty poor & doesn't have much of the range, but you can find your nearest B&M here, but be warned, you'll go in for one thing & come out with 30!
